Purpose, background and current position

Purpose

Reconstruct greens and bunkers on holes 4–9 at Forfar to championship specification, restoring strategic interest and improving long-term agronomic resilience.

Background

The 1998 bunker complexes have suffered repeated washout and sand contamination. A 2025 agronomy review recommended phased reconstruction with revised faces and revetted edges, sequenced around the club championship.

Current Position

Holes 4 and 6 reconstruction is 62% complete on revised phasing. Hole 5 is deferred to September 2026 to protect championship week. The board is asked to confirm the revised phasing via decision d1.
