Operational knowledge captured from the ground
Joint review with 1Office Technologies covering grid supply, bay layout and visitor wayfinding. Existing supply will accommodate six bays without upgrade; the full twelve-bay scheme requires an SSEN grid uplift.

Quarterly Dynamic Coast monitoring walk along the seaward boundary. Dune line at hole 3 has advanced approximately 1.8m since February. Rock-armour design assumptions remain valid; contingency routing for holes 3 and 4 reviewed on the ground.

Year-end review of phase 1 drainage performance with the Scotscraig greens team. Outflow readings confirm a 38% reduction in winter closure days; performance data underpins the phase 2 funding case.
Pre-championship H&S walk covering hospitality marquee, member-contractor interfaces and signage. One issue closed during walk; two items added to the operations log.

Routine Friday walk covering holes 1–9 with focus on the active bunker programme. Sward generally strong following the dry spell; two surface defects logged and one safety observation around the temporary works compound.
Full 18-green walk with stimpmeter readings. Speeds consistent at 10'2"–10'6". Two greens flagged for thatch build-up; irrigation coverage uneven on greens 7 and 14 — corroborates the wider pump-house concern.
Post-storm bunker sweep across holes 10–18. Sand depths broadly within spec; three bunkers require top-up and one face revetment is failing.

Pre-tender condition survey of the 1903 slate roof on the west elevation. Confirms the case for full renewal: c.18% of slates failing, lead flashings perished at three valleys, and previous patch repairs accelerating water tracking into the Captain's Room.

Coverage audit ahead of the summer programme. Holes 11–15 show overlap gaps and pressure fall-off at run-end. Findings reinforce the drainage phase 2 case.
Detailed measured survey and equipment audit of the 1989 kitchen. Confirms cover capacity constraint and identifies extract, gas and floor-drainage works as critical-path items for the proposed scheme.

Heritage walk-over with the Angus Council conservation officer. General fabric condition fair to good; consent strategy agreed for the roof renewal package and external lime-pointing repairs identified for a future phase.
Mobilisation survey of all four cottages ahead of phase 1 refurbishment. Two cottages (EPC F) require fabric-first upgrades; cottage 3 interim insulation works are holding well; one safety observation on the external stair.
