Overview
Purpose, background and current position
Replace the 1998 estate-wide irrigation system at Montrose with a modern, low-leak network capable of supporting the championship course through climate-stressed summers.
Three pump failures this season have raised the prospect of green loss in extended dry weather. Three tenders were returned; CalForth Construction is the preferred bidder with a £1.42m phased programme.
Tender outcome (d2) is with the directors. Procurement is 35% complete; phase 1 commissioning targeted for April 2027.
